The Pearl
Plenty of snow in winter, plus an “all-inclusive” summer deal! Arosa is a community with a long tradition of hospitality at the heart of the Canton of Graubünden - Switzerland's most beautiful holiday area. It is located in a quiet valley head with minimal traffic 1800 metres above sea level. First discovered by health seeker tourists 130 years ago, Arosa with its renowned healthy mountain air has since developed into a modern sport and holiday centre where you will find everything needed for getting on the move outdoors in the superb Alpine atmosphere. In Winter It is a major attraction because of the certain snow cover (see www.schneesicher.ch) while summer has the unique “all-in” offer (use all the lifts and cableways free of charge! See www.all-inclusive.ch). Whether you are at a camping site or a 5 star hotel - enjoy our extra-special All-Inclusive-Service for a carefree holiday in Arosa.
Soft mobility connections
Take the Arosa Express up to 1800 metres. Arosa is easy to reach thanks to express/intercity, high-speed TGV and ICE rail connections to Chur. There are direct trains to/from Paris/Hamburg (winter) - with an hourly service via Zurich. A delightful railway journey on board the Arosa Express will bring you from Chur, the oldest city in Switzerland, over spectacular viaducts and through magnificent scenery up to 1800 metres. Simply travelling to see It is a great experience in itself. Train information: www.sbb.ch.
Soft mobility in the pearl
Getting around easily! A free bus runs at least every 30 minutes in Arosa and will take you directly to every attraction (ski and toboggan slopes, walk and hiking tracks, museums, etc.). In summer the lifts and cableways, the pedalos at the lake, our electro bikes and even the train to and from Langwies are all free of charge.
Special soft mobility services
Perfect traffic management for a carefree holiday! Arosa lies 1800 metres above sea level and 70 % of all the beds provided are directly adjacent to a ski slope. Your skiing or walking day starts from the front door with the free local bus, that runs every 10 minutes in winter and brings you straight home in comfort. There is no need to worry about having a glass or two to drink either. Take a holiday from your car - your arrival by train will be richly rewarded.
