Alps Mobility II - Promotion notes
ALPINE PEARLS is the result of 2 EU projects based on each other (Alps
Mobility and Alps Mobility II - Alpine Pearls) which have been started
and coordinated on the initiative of the Austrian Federal Ministry for
Agriculture and Forestry, Environment and Water Management (EU
programme INTERREG II C and III B, Alpine Space).
MAIN FOCUS
The
main focus is on creating innovative, sustainable offers for tourism;
combining tourist sights that have the advantages of Soft Mobility with
environmentally-friendly means of transport.
RESULTS
The
excellent collaboration of project partners from Austria, Germany and
Italy in "Alps Mobility" and consequently with new partners from France
and Switzerland in "Alps Mobility II - Alpine Pearls" was the reason
behind the results and success now being continued and professionalized
with an umbrella organisation, ALPINE PEARLS, across the Alps.
DURATION
The duration of the project is May 2003 until September 2006

The
Alpine Pearls initiative was developed within the Interreg III B -
Alpine Space project Alps Mobility II -Alpine Pearls, co-financed by
the European Union and carried out by 15 project partners from Austria,
France, Germany, Italy and Switzerland under the Lead Partnership of
the Austrian Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, Environment
and Water Management, coordinated by Robert Thaler, Veronika Holzer and
managed by Trafico Consulting, Romain Molitor, Eva Burian.
