A warm welcome to the best loved saline spa in the Alps! The Alpine character and the wonderful curative powers of the water helped to make Bad Reichenhall the first “Alpine Wellness” health spa in Germany. Bad Reichenhall was nominated “Alpine Town of the Year” in 2001. This award was an acknowledgement for all the many efforts that have been made to establish soft mobility in and around town, protection of the Alps and sustainable development. Bad Reichenhall pampers its guests with numerous cultural events and a stunning natural landscape with such well known peaks as the Predigtstuhl and the Hochstaufen. The great Alpine CLIMATE, the unique natural treasure Alpine SALT, Alpine BRINE, the healing mineral mixture laist and the power of mountain pines will make you feel great and bursting with new found vitality. Why sitting for hours in a traffic jam? The railway station is in the centre of town (with its S-line train connection), and the buses take you from here to virtually every possible place to stay.

Free use of the buses with our visitor ticket! Visitors to the spa town (with a visitor card) may use the town and city busses in and around Bad Reichenhall free of charge. You can take the bus from the centre of town to Thumsee or to Bayerisch Gmain for example. You also like to know that the buses in Bad Reichenhall use natural gas as a fuel! A great link to the Bavarian Regional Transport Network, the RVO is possible from Bad Reichenhall station. We also have many opportunities for you to hire a bicycle - including our new “movelo”.

To get out and about: with the lift or our new electric bicycles! A ride in our Predigtstuhlbahn lift is so delightfully nostalgic. This is the oldest large cabin lift in the world and it takes you up some 1600 metres to our local mountain the Reichenhaller in only eight minutes. We provide a highly innovative mobility offer for all our active visitors with "movelo". Guests and local people can pick up these modern bicycles fitted with quiet electric motors from several points. The motor provides support to your pedal power at the push of a button.
