The Pearl
You are in search of a village in the mountains, where everything is like it is supposed to be – genuinely authentic. Hinterstoder is situated in the southern part of Upper Austria and is a modern resort, surrounded by lovely mountain pastures and forests. The “Totes Gebirge”-Mountains overshadows Hinterstoder at 504 to 2,514 meters above sea level. Soft mobility connections
The Hinterstoder train station lies at the exit of Stoder Valley, approximately twelve kilometres from the village centre. There are regular bus connections. Should you, however, prefer an individual taxi service, then Taxi Riedler (tel.: +43(0)7564/5159) will happily chauffeur you from the train station to Hinterstoder.

In addition to the excellent line operation, Hinterstoder also offers you individual mobility on location as well as in the entire Pyhrn-Priel region. With the Hiker-taxi mobility services and the ski bus, we offer you a comfortable possibility of moving around the Stoder Valley without using your own car. From May to October, we offer you an affordable transport service with the Wandertaxi (Taxi Riedler telephone number +43(0)7564/5159). A special ski bus service awaits you in winter (free of charge for those with a valid ski pass or cross-country pass).

Hinterstoder’s guests can enjoy skiing on optimally prepared slopes, endless walks, breathtaking cross-country along the crystal-clear Steyr River backed against a romantic landscape. 14 loop trails in the loop trail world of Hinterstoder await hikers. Numerous courses, special trainings as well as tandem flights await paragliders. Your gently mobile arrival – comfortable, with as little luggage as possible – support Hinterstoder’s sports dealers with modern equipment and clothing for nearly all recreational activities. Special highlights are the horse sled rides in the winter and the horse carriage rides in the summer.
