Nature Park Schlern-Rosengarten
The Nature Park Schlern-Rosengarten comprises nearly 7.000 hectare and is the oldest nature park in South Tyrol. The mountain masses Schlern and Rosengarten and the biggest alp in Europe, the landscape conservation area Seiser Alm, are the landmarks of the nature park. Also within the park are the Tschamin Valley and the Völser Lake. Typical for the mountain forests encircling the Schlern are the red crossbill and the alpine willow tit. You can also find a multitude of wood grouses, woodpeckers and owls. The Dolomites are now registered in the list of UNESCO World Nature Heritage, because they are of unique and monumental beauty.

The nature park house Schlern-Rosengarten in the Tschamin valley near Tiers am Rosengarten is located in an old sawmill. The Info-Spot Völser Lake is filled with information about Fauna and Flora of the lake.
