This spectacular mountain race in the heart of the Gran Paradiso National Park takes place on July 21st around our pearl Ceresole Reale and is part of the international "Skyrunner World Series". The Royal Ultra Sky Marathon is 55 kilometers long, with seven peaks and more than 4000 meters of altitude, which demands everything from the athletes before the winners of the Ceresole Reale Lake are chosen.
The somewhat less exhausting alternative is the Roc Sky Race, which runs 31 kilometers, over two passes and more than 2000 meters in altitude, before ending up on the lake of Ceresole Reale together with its big brother, the Royal Ultra Sky Marathon. The route leads through all the beautiful facets of the landscape of the Gran Paradiso National Park, the oldest national park in Italy. Snow-covered passes, ibexes, bearded vultures, chamois, rocky outcrops and lush meadows offer magnificent views and insights into the almost untouched nature of the Alps.
