The Stodertal, a lovely, pristine side valley, stretches for miles in the South of Upper Austria and ends at the foot of a massive mountain range called "Totes Gebirge", which dominates the Stodertal area. Many attractive gentle mobility alternatives to using your car await you here in Hinterstoder. Hop on the hikers’ taxi, try the valley bus or take the cable car to get a head start on your trail. And of course there are plenty of regular bus connections. Use the guest card (Pyhrn-Priel Card) to take advantage of all mobility options to explore the entire area.

There is no end to the many fun-filled activities available here: take a leisurely walk along the award-winning network of well-marked loop trails or participate in a breath-taking mountain tour, join a singles’ hiking group, or choose from many more, including rock climbing, paragliding, canyoning, kayaking, and horseback riding.
