The Varmost chair lifts are the easy way to transport you to an altitude of about 2,000 m above sea level – with the skis in the winter or your mountain bike in the summer.

The Davost ski area, located only metres from the town centre, is ideal for beginners and families with kids, while the Varmost ski area with its long and sometimes challenging slopes is a paradise for experienced skiers. The chair lifts take you to an altitude of 2,100 m at the “Cima Crusicalas” with its breath-taking panoramic view of the Dolomites.
The stunning views of the Dolomite mountains will keep you spellbound as you snowshoe through this enchanted winter wonderland. In Forni di Sopra, beginners will also find trails that are perfect for their skill level and will make them fall in love with this gentle sport.

From December to May, Forni di Sopra provides perfect snow for 6 months of thrilling ski tours to altitudes of almost 2,500 m above sea level in the Friuli Dolomites Nature Park. Take your pick between challenging and easy tours. Once a week, night training is offered near the Varmost slope.
This is the ideal family getaway, providing many hours of fun in the snow with colourful games, snow-covered hills, flying carpets, sled boats, miniature ski jumping hill and much more to help your kids playfully learn how to ski and romp in the snow. The Snow Park is located next to the Davost Valley Station.
Dolomiti Nordicski, Europe’s largest cross-country ski area, consists of 12 individual cross-country ski areas and Forni di Sopra is one of them. Special holiday packages offer much variety during our cross-country skiing season. No car required to have fun! Take your skis on the 13 km stretch of the Tagliamento track past the river by the same name for a precious trip through pristine nature and along snow-covered fir trees. Or pick from any of the other tracks, some of them illuminated and with artificial snow. You can rent all accessories and equipment for the entire family on site. An extensive network of hiking trails through the Forni di Sopra area of the Friuli Dolomites (UNESCO world heritage site) is just waiting to be explored.
