Central Mountains

Central Mountains
The aim of EU project “Central Mountains” is to bridge borders. It focuses on the challenge of establishing long-term, sustainable cooperation in Central European mountain areas that works across borders thanks to improved governance structures. The project has a duration of 36 months, and the EGTC has a budget of 209,740 euros at its disposal.
For Alpine Pearls, the Pearls’ action plans are of central importance, which are developed during workshops and tours at the destination. These plans lay the groundwork for defining the strategy and implementing priority projects. Alpine-Carpathian regions are participating in this transnational project. The primary aim is to develop innovative governance models that support the sustainable development of mountain areas and promote a fruitful dialogue with the responsible authorities.
